THE DIGITAL-FIRST CONCEPT
Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo
Lamborghini's Vision GT — a Sant'Agata-designed concept built first for PlayStation, then partially in carbon-fibre for the show stand.
Lamborghini revealed the Lambo V12 Vision GT at the Gran Turismo World Tour Final in Monaco in November 2019. The car was conceived by Centro Stile Lamborghini under design head Mitja Borkert as a 'shapes manifesto' — a design exercise free of homologation, regulation, or production cost. The proportions are extreme: a single central seat, no windscreen (just a wraparound visor), a hexagonal cockpit cell and exposed structural arches at the rear that double as air channels. LEGO® 76923 reproduces the silhouette closely (see Brickset 76923 for the bricks-level details).
Mechanically the car is presented as a hybrid: Lamborghini's specifications quote the production Aventador SVJ's 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 producing 815 hp, paired with a 48-volt electric motor on the gearbox to add a further short-burst output, with a kerb weight of around 2,200 lb (1,000 kg). These figures are concept-stage approximations — the car has never undergone independent testing — but they were used in the in-game version that shipped in Gran Turismo Sport in May 2020.
Like other Vision GT entries, the V12 Vision lives a double life: a single physical show car circulates between motor shows and Lamborghini events (it appeared at Geneva 2024, where the photograph in this entry was taken), while the in-game model has been used by hundreds of thousands of Gran Turismo players. 76923 — released on 1 June 2024 — became the first time the car appeared as physical merchandise in this scale, four and a half years after the Monaco reveal.
