Every LEGO® Speed Champions Classic Icons Set

Nine LEGO® Speed Champions sets carry the “classic-icon” tag — the wiki's editorial bucket for cars that are culturally cemented as references rather than current performance benchmarks. The hub mixes road and race, modern and historic, real and cinematic; what the sets share is that the cars they depict are quoted often, owned rarely, and recognised universally.

The hub's earliest entries are 6-stud-era heritage builds. Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0 (LEGO® 75888, 2018) pairs the modern works 911 RSR with the 1974 930 Turbo — the Turbo that introduced “Turbo” to road-car language. Ferrari F40 Competizione (LEGO® 75890, 2019) is the racing-spec evolution of the F40 — the 1989 F40 LM IMSA / FIA GTC car. 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 (LEGO® 75895, 2019) is the same 930 Turbo as a standalone road car. All three depict cars that defined a sub-segment that still exists today.

The 8-stud-era expansions broaden the lens beyond performance cars. 007 Aston Martin DB5 (LEGO® 76911, 2022) is the 1964 Goldfinger DB5 — the most-cited car in cinema history. Lamborghini Countach (LEGO® 76908, 2022) is the wedge that defined “supercar” for two decades. 1970 Ferrari 512 M (LEGO® 76906, 2022) is the V12 prototype that took on the Porsche 917 in the 1970-71 sports car championship. McLaren Solus GT & McLaren F1 LM (LEGO® 76918, 2023) pairs the 1995 F1 LM (the Le Mans-homologation evolution of the road car, six built) with the 2022 Solus GT — fifty years compressed into a single dual.

The newest entries continue the pattern. Ferrari F40 Supercar (LEGO® 76934, 2024) is the 1987 F40 road car as a standalone — Enzo Ferrari's last sign-off, the first production car past 200 mph. Time Machine from Back to the Future (LEGO® 77256, 2026) is the modified DeLorean from the 1985 Robert Zemeckis film — a production car so heavily quoted that the original car is essentially invisible behind the cinematic version. The thread running through the hub is recognisability: every set in this cluster is a car you can sketch from memory.
