Koenigsegg Jesko

Christian von Koenigsegg’s 1,600-hp twin-turbo V8 with a nine-speed Light Speed Transmission — and the brand’s first Speed Champions appearance.

Set #76900 2021 283 pieces 8-stud Retired

The Koenigsegg Jesko is the Swedish manufacturer’s seventh production model, and the most overtly engineering-driven. It launched in two variants: the Jesko Attack (downforce-focused, a 1.4-million-Nm-of-rear-axle-torque proposition) and the Jesko Absolut (low-drag, designed to reach beyond 480 km/h). Power in both is from a 5.0-litre flat-plane-crank twin-turbo V8 making up to 1,600 hp on E85 fuel, mated to Koenigsegg’s nine-speed multi-clutch “Light Speed Transmission.”

Koenigsegg Jesko

Christian von Koenigsegg’s engineering thesis

The Jesko’s 5.0-litre flat-plane V8 is the same architecture as the Agera RS’s but with new 180-degree-firing crankshaft, lighter rotating mass and twin-turbocharger upgrades. Output is 1,280 hp on standard 95-octane petrol and 1,600 hp on E85.

The Light Speed Transmission is the most-discussed feature: nine forward gears, seven wet clutches, no synchromesh, capable of skipping from any gear directly to any other gear without sequential downshifting. It exists because Koenigsegg believed dual-clutch gearboxes had hit a fundamental limit at this power level.

The build

First Koenigsegg in the catalogue

76900 is the 8-stud Speed Champions chassis. The Jesko’s long-tail bodywork and high-mounted rear wing translate well at this scale; the dihedral synchro-helix doors are not articulated in the LEGO® build.

Cherry-red paint with white stripes is delivered through printed body panels; the wing and front splitter use stickers.
