Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H

Vettel’s 2016 Ferrari

The SF16-H ran Ferrari’s 059/5 1.6-litre V6 turbo-hybrid — a unit that finally closed on Mercedes for outright power but lost reliability. Both Vettel and Räikkönen DNF’d multiple races.

Eleven podium finishes, no race wins. Vettel finished fourth in the drivers’ standings; Räikkönen sixth. Ferrari placed third in constructors’ — the team’s last winless season until 2020’s SF1000.

The build

Six-stud Ferrari

75879 is a 6-stud Speed Champions F1 chassis. The SF16-H’s short-nose, high-airbox profile is rendered with printed body panels; the front and rear wings are separate elements.

Rosso Corsa is delivered through colour-injected bricks rather than stickers — the cleanest red rendering of any 6-stud-era Speed Champions Ferrari.
