Ferrari F8 Tributo

Maranello’s last twin-turbo V8 mid-engined coupe before the hybrid 296 GTB — a 720-hp salute to the F40’s engine architecture.

Set #76895 2020 278 pieces 8-stud Retired

The Ferrari F8 Tributo replaced the 488 GTB in 2019 and was itself replaced by the 296 GTB in 2022. It used a development of the 488’s F154 twin-turbo V8 — 720 hp, 770 Nm — and styling cues that explicitly referenced the F40 (the louvered rear screen) and the 308 GTB (the side-vent profile). Ferrari called it a “tribute” to its V8 mid-engined heritage; the 296’s switch to a V6 plug-in hybrid made the F8 the last pure twin-turbo V8 in the line.

V8 MID-ENGINE

Ferrari F8 Tributo

Twin-turbo V8 sendoff

The F8 Tributo runs the F154CD evolution of Ferrari’s 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 — the engine that won International Engine of the Year four years running (2016–19). Output is 720 hp at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm at 3,250 rpm. Transmission is the 7-speed dual-clutch shared with the 488.

Distinct visual references: the louvred polycarbonate rear screen evokes the F40; the S-duct front bonnet borrows from the 488 Pista; the side-vent shape is a callback to the 308 GTB. Production ran from 2019 to early 2022 before the 296 GTB replaced it.

Display ideas

  • Pair with the 75890 Ferrari F40 Competizione for the explicit F40-vs-F8 “tribute” shelf.
  • Place against the 76914 (812 Competizione) for an end-of-V12-and-V8-Ferrari-eras pairing.

The build

Eight-stud Tributo

76895 is the 8-stud Speed Champions chassis. The F8’s mid-engined silhouette translates well at scale; the louvred rear screen is a printed element, not a sticker.

Rosso Corsa is delivered through printed body panels rather than colour-injected bricks, making this a cleaner-finished red than earlier 6-stud Ferrari sets.
