MoneyGram Haas F1 Team VF-24 Race Car

Ayao Komatsu’s first car as team principal — the Haas that finally stopped being a punchline.

Set #77250 2025 242 pieces 8-stud Current

Haas spent 2023 in last place. By the end of 2024 it was seventh in the constructors’ standings, ahead of three teams with vastly larger budgets, and Ayao Komatsu — promoted from race engineer to team principal in January — was the most talked-about new manager in the paddock. The VF-24 wasn’t a fast car. It was just consistent, reliable, kind to its tyres, and driven well by Hülkenberg and Magnussen. Sometimes that’s enough.

The midfield surprise of 2024

Komatsu’s first technical decision was to slow the VF-24’s development cadence and concentrate on tyre-degradation behaviour rather than peak qualifying pace. The result was a car that lost half a second in qualifying but kept its place — and frequently gained — across long stints.

Nico Hülkenberg drove it to seven points-finishes across the season; Kevin Magnussen contributed two more. By Brazil it was clear Haas was no longer at the back, and at the end of the year Komatsu won several team-principal-of-the-year ballots from the specialist press.

The build

Black, white, red

The VF-24 livery is the simplest on the 2024 grid — matte black base with white side-pods and Haas-red details. Speed Champions hits the look with printed white panels and stickers for the side-pod blocks.

The 8-stud chassis is shared with the rest of the F1 wave; what differentiates 77250 from its grid-mates is the front-wing print and the airbox sticker.
