KICK Sauber F1 Team C44 Race Car

Hinwil’s last season under the Sauber name before the Audi takeover — pearl-white, sage-green, and on the back of the grid.

Set #77247 2025 259 pieces 8-stud Current

2024 was always going to be Sauber’s lame-duck year. The team had been bought by Audi for a 2026 entry, the Volkswagen-group brass were already in the building, and the C44 was effectively a placeholder car: a Ferrari-powered chassis built to keep the seats warm until the German manufacturer’s in-house power unit arrives. Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu drove it; the team finished last in the championship; everyone is now looking forward.

F1 RACE CAR

Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber C44

The last pre-Audi Sauber

The C44 ran a Ferrari 066/12 power unit and a development budget that prioritised survival over performance. Hinwil’s engineering effort had already pivoted to the 2026 Audi project; the C44’s 2024 development plan was deliberately conservative.

It scored four points across the season. Valtteri Bottas in particular was vocal that the car was undriveable in qualifying trim — its single-lap pace lagged the midfield by half a second on most circuits — and both drivers left at the end of the year. Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto take the seats for 2025.

The build

Pearl, sage and stickers

Sauber’s 2024 livery is the most adventurous on the grid — pearl white with sage-green flashes and Stake’s red logos. The Speed Champions translation gets it across with a generous sticker sheet rather than printed elements.

Take time aligning the side-pod sponsor strip — the Stake logotype runs across two stickers and the gap between them is the most visible misalignment risk in the build.
