Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC

Sébastien Ogier’s 2017 World Rally Championship car — the Cumbrian-built Fiesta WRC, in 6-stud form.

Set #75885 2018 206 pieces 6-stud Retired

M-Sport’s 2017 Fiesta WRC was a turning point: the small Cumbrian-based outfit won both the drivers’ (Ogier) and manufacturers’ World Rally Championships under the new “2017 WRC regulations” ruleset that allowed wider, more aggressive aero. M-Sport beat factory Hyundai, Toyota and Citroën programmes — the underdog narrative was real. This Speed Champions set is the LEGO® rendering of that car.

Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC

Ogier’s 2017 championship car

The 2017 WRC regulations widened the cars by 55 mm, allowed larger rear wings, and increased turbo restrictor size to lift power to ~380 hp. The Fiesta WRC was M-Sport’s response: a Ford EcoBoost 1.6-litre turbocharged four, all-wheel-drive, six-speed sequential gearbox.

Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassia won the 2017 drivers’ championship and M-Sport won the manufacturers’. Eric Camilli, Ott Tänak (in his last M-Sport year) and Elfyn Evans drove the second cars across the season. Ogier moved to Citroën for 2018 — M-Sport never won the title again.

The build

Six-stud WRC

75885 is a 6-stud-wide Speed Champions car — narrower than the 2022+ 8-stud chassis. The Fiesta’s short overhangs and aggressive boxed-fender flares are captured at scale; the rear wing is a separate element rather than a printed body part.

Stickers carry the M-Sport blue, white and red livery and the sponsor blocks for DMACK tyres.
